Needle holder

A needle holder, also known as a needle driver or hemostat, is a surgical instrument used to hold and manipulate needles during surgical procedures. It has a pair of jaws with serrated or smooth edges that can securely grasp the needle, allowing the surgeon to easily maneuver it into position.

There are several different sizes of needle holders available, depending on the size of the needle being used and the specific surgical procedure being performed. Some common sizes include 5.5 inches, 6 inches, and 7 inches.

Needle holders are used in a variety of surgical procedures, including suturing, needle aspiration, and tissue biopsy. They are also used in veterinary medicine and other medical fields.

The cost of a needle holder can vary depending on the size and material it is made of. Some common materials used in the construction of needle holders include stainless steel and titanium. A basic stainless steel needle holder may cost around $10 to $20, while a more specialized or high-quality instrument may cost upwards of $100 or more.
